Bassenheim Furnace & Iron Works
A Stone Blast Furnace and Iron Works. Bassenheim Furnace was a water powered cold-blast charcoal iron furnace.
Located on Connoquenessing Creek, near Zelienople, Franklin Twp., Beaver Co.

From Zelienople, Butler Co., go west on PA Rt. 288, 1/2 mile west of the junction of PA Rt. 288 and PA Rt. 588, PA S.R. 04034 comes in from the south.  Park here and you will see an old lane which runs for about 100 feet to the ruins of the old Bassenheim Furnace stack near Connoquenessing Creek.  The Furnace is in Beaver County.
