Finley Furnace & Iron Works (Breakneck Furnace), Located near the Village of Breakneck, on Breakneck Creek, Bullskin Twp., Fayette County, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.

Date Out-of-Blast: ca.1838

Breakneck Furnace;
David B. Long & Company Furnace (ca.1835-1838);

LOCATION: From Connellsville,  PA. follow PA. Rt.711  (Pittsburgh Street) north  to PA SR 1051, go about 3.2 miles on PA SR1051 to just east of the intersection of PA. SR1019. You will see a fenced in old dam and abandoned water reservoir in Breakneck Run.  Finley Furnace (Breakneck Furnace)  is located in this abandoned water reservior, about 100 yards above the old dam, on the north bank of Breakneck Creek, Approx. 2000 ft. east of the Village of Breakneck, Bullskin Twp., Fayette Co.  Stones from the Furnace were used to built the water reservoir dam.
